landscapes

I do quite a lot of landscape photography and was astonished to discover that most professional photographers think that it belongs to the most complicated subjects. But then I looked back at my photos and suddenly recognized the fact that it rather IS hard to capture that atmosphere and play of the light. So many things to consider.

Black and white photography lessens the burden of the tint that the warm (or cold) light leaves over the area. A dreary day, with haze and even light rain can be a topper for B&W capturing. As long as you think in contrast, lines and perspective, you have a good chance of getting just that (almost) perfect shot.

The trick is to think in B&W, while capturing in color, as most of the work for a good photo is done in (digital) post processing. I'll get back on that subject later.
